Frequently Asked Questions Is there a deadline for Applications for Funding from Homeward Trust? Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. When do I have to submit my application for consideration? The Review Committee and potentially the Homeward Trust Board of Directors will assess Applications for Funding received by the last Friday of each month. How long after I submit my Application for Funding will I know if I have been approved? Applicants will be sent a letter of acknowledgement upon receipt of their Application for Funding. This letter will identify a File Number and the Funding Facilitator assigned to your file. If your Application for Funding AND Project Proposal documents are complete and clearly detailed at the time of receipt, the review process and decision by the Trustees can be anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks. Is there a limit to the amount of funding I can request? No. Applications for Funding are assessed on a project-by-project basis against priorities identified in the Community Plan. However, Homeward Trust has limited resources and we encourage all proponents to bring as many resources to the table as possible. Should our organization enter into agreements to purchase or lease properties before we have approval from the Homeward Trust Fund? No. This will put your organization at risk of losing funds. If I have questions regarding the Application for Funding or the Review Process that are NOT answered in the Guide where can I go or who can I call? Staff at Homeward Trust are more than happy to answer your queries. Click here to get our contact information. Is there a specific format and criteria for my application? Yes. See Proposal Writing Guide and Assessment Guide. Contact us if you have any questions. | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
