FIND – Furnishing Hope

Shop. Donate. End Homelessness

Find is both a non-profit retail thrift store and a social enterprise of Homeward Trust Edmonton that provides essential furnishings free of charge to people and families transitioning out of homelessness through the Housing First program.

It’s the largest of its kind in North America, and we are proud to support our community every day through the Housing First program and our retail stores, which supply the public with great vintage finds as well as affordable, quality furniture and housewares.

All items sold or used in the Housing First program are donated by the community, and 100% of the proceeds help those transitioning out of homelessness.

On average, we furnish 100 homes through the Housing First program every month and are always looking for donations to help make someone’s house a home. Details on donating to FIND here.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We recognize we are gathered, in collaboration and with joint purpose, on Treaty 6 territory. This territory is the home and gathering place for diverse Indigenous peoples. The Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Inuit, and many others. We know the importance of the Treaty and our responsibility to these communities and that only in partnership can we create the social change necessary to end homelessness. It is vital that we meaningfully engage and partner with Indigenous people and communities in this work. It is important to recognize and address the conditions brought forth by colonialism. Displacement from traditional homelands, systemic racism, residential schools, the Sixties Scoop, and the ongoing overrepresentation of Indigenous people in child welfare, correctional systems, and homelessness are responsibilities we all share.
