Boyle Street Community Services, Parkland Vagrancy
Funding was provided to the Parklands Homelessness and Vagrancy Project which provides outreach and case work for Parkland Individuals who are homeless or vagrant on City parkland in the river valley. Outreach will focus on but not be limited to the area from the Capilano Bridge west to Groat Road on both sides of the river. Staff will also assist residents adjacent to Parkland and park users through situational problem-solving and interpersonal strategy coaching.

Boyle Street Community Services, Old Strathcona Outreach
The Old Strathcona Adult Outreach (OSAO) was created through Boyle Street Community Services to serve adults in the Whyte Avenue, Old Strathcona, and associated river valley areas who are absolutely homeless or sheltered homeless. The Centre provides Assertive Outreach, needs assessments, transition to housing, and follow-up support.

George Spady Center, Interim Support Funding
The George Spady Centre is an Emergency Housing facility for persons with addictions. To fulfill its demand issues funding was provided on order to increase 60 mats to 72 through the provision of 3 Addictions Workers I (AW I) positions. Their job will be to interact directly with the clients, with a primary responsibility to ensure that the clients' needs are assessed and met.

George Spady Centre, Five Bed Pilot Program
This is a pilot project designed to prevent men who are at risk of relapse if they return to the streets before getting a bed at a treatment centre, thereby improving their chances of recovery and living a life free of alcohol and drugs. The project is intended to demonstrate the positive impact of continued intervention. This faclilty is targeted to homeless men who have recently completed their detoxification treatment at George Spady Centre and require a supportive, safe environment before moving on to a treatment centre. Five beds are to be blocked off at the YMCA for one year as "long-term beds" and made available to individuals participating in the program. In addition, the individuals will receive ongoing support from George Spady and the YMCA.

Old Strathcona Youth Co-op, Hsg & Employ Pos
The Homeward Trust has approved a maximum contribution of to provide youth accessing the Old Strathcona Youth Co-op with assistance and advocacy for employment and housing related issues through the Housing and Employment Program, specifically the Housing & Employment Coordinator, by building relationships with youth in order to provide housing and employment support/referrals within a trusting, established environment.Youth aged 14-24 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless access the Old Strathcona Youth Co-op.

Terra Association, Family Housing Worker
Hope Terrace
Funding was provided to fulfill the need for a Family Housing Worker (FHW) for Hope Terrace, a transitional housing facility for pregnant and parenting youth who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The FHW is responsible for delivering program activities and providing any case management required on order to successfully transition tenants into permanent housing.
